Our Epoxy Floor Repair Services
Epoxy Floor Repair
We can help out with any type of epoxy floor repair you might need, including anything from small fixes, general refurbishing or refinishing, crack fills, releveling, smoothing, or fixing up a bad install job.
Epoxy Crack Filling
If you have small cracks or areas that somehow got damaged in your existing epoxied area and don’t want to pour an entirely new floor, we can come in to fill and smooth out the cracks to freshen up the space and keep it all smooth and level.
Epoxy Releveling
If the epoxy surface itself (or the floor surface beneath it) isn’t level, it can be throwing off your entire space. We can level the floor prior to installing the epoxy.
Epoxy Smoothing
If the surface there is in good shape, and really just needs an overall smoothing out, or smoothing in designated areas that have taken some extra wear and tear or are damaged, we can do that for you.
Epoxy Installation Job Fixing
If you hired a bad epoxy company or installer, or attempted a DIY job but botched it, we can come in and fix the damage, and try to salvage whatever work we can to fix the space up for you - the right way.
Epoxy Floor Repair & Resurfacing Process
An epoxy floor repair has 4 typical stages:
Patching
If the floor surface has any large cracks or holes, patches are applied to ensure a smooth application. Small cracks are fine, as they will normally be filled when the epoxy is applied.
Grinding
To ensure the epoxy adheres properly, we diamond grind the floor surface to open the pores and remove remnants of the previous coating. This step can’t level the floor or fix massive damages.
Vacuuming
We completely clear the surface of any dust and debris with industrial vacuums to ensure nothing is trapped between the floor surface and the epoxy during application (which ensures a smoother finish).
Epoxy Application
Finally, we apply 2 coats of 100% solid, commercial-grade epoxy to the floor surface with rollers and squeegees. The surface then needs to cure for 24-48 hours before it can be used again.

Epoxy Floor Repair Benefits & Features
Extend the Life of Your Epoxy
Small Repairs Can Make It Last For Years
Epoxy typically requires an upfront investment, but because of its strength and durability, it can last for years - even decades - not showing damage or deteriorating quickly like some other flooring types. Investing in a small repair can sometimes extend that life even longer to prevent you from needing to do a whole new installation.
Improve Health & Safety
For Your Employees or Customers
Epoxy repairs can fix small cracks or tripping hazards, or fix a particular area that took some damage, which can improve the safety in the overall space and reduce tripping hazards. You can also add custom safety lines or stickers to an existing epoxy floor space to help reinforce your unique safety protocols.
Improve the Look of Your Space
Refresh the Area to Its Original Glory
If your area just needs a little extra attention to bring it back to the way it looked when you first had it installed, a small repair job can accomplish that, and help refresh the space to keep it enticing for your customers or employees, and prevent further damages in the area being repaired.
How to Choose an Epoxy Floor Repair Professional
Insured, Accredited, & Well-Reviewed
An epoxy floor repair installer should come with liability insurance, as well as multiple testimonials of proven work, and photos of completed projects similar to yours for reference.
Experts Making Recommendations
A good epoxy floor repair contractor should be aware of and work with multiple types of flooring solutions so they can make recommendations to you about the best option for your floor space. Depending on the state of your floor and what occurs in the area, they should be able to assess if epoxy is the right choice for you, or if something like polished concrete might be the better option.
Proper Quoting & Pricing Process
The epoxy floor refinishing expert should be able quote you with a fair price range on the work before you begin the project, and should ask the appropriate questions necessary to give you a more accurate estimate. Beware contractors who don’t ask questions or offer blanket quotes - as the square footage, state of the floor surface, how much damage has been done, and many other factors will affect the final cost of the project.

Epoxy Floor Repair & Restoration Costs
Top 4 factors that affect epoxy repair cost
The cost to have epoxy flooring repaired depends completely on what types of repairs need to be done, including whether you’re doing small repairs, need the whole thing refurbished, the floor needs to be smoothed, you need some small cracks filled, you have to relevel the entire surface, or you’re fixing a bad install job, and all of these types of repairs will cost different amounts.
The most common factors that affect the cost an epoxy repair are:
- The amount of damage on the epoxy floor - Things like small cracks or dents require a lot less work than when there are giant dents or holes in the floor.
- Whether releveling or smoothing is required - Needing to relevel an entire flooring surface under existing epoxy is going to require a lot more tools, equipment, material and time.
- How big the repair surface is - Repairing a square foot of damage compared to an entire factory floor is one of the biggest ways the cost for an epoxy repair will be affected.
- If overtime hours or a strict timeline is needed - If you need us to jump on the project right away, or work in such a way to limit the amount of time the floor is shut down, we can help, but the cost might increase.
Is epoxy floor repair expensive?
Epoxy floor repair can be expensive, but it’s usually lower than the cost of installing a new floor, and could extend the life of your existing floor for many more years. The size of the area being repaired and other unique factors of your space will affect whether the cost of the repair is higher.
What Problem Areas Benefit Most from Epoxy Floor Repair?
Epoxy Floor Repair & Refinishing FAQs
When is starting an epoxy repair project a good idea for me?
Moving forward with an epoxy floor repair is probably a good idea if:
- You can see cracks in your current epoxy floor
- There are dents or large holes in the surface
- Your floor was installed many years ago and you see a general lack of smoothness
- The surface has become uneven or unlevel
- The surface looks unappealing in any way and the aesthetic look is important to your business
- You hired someone else to install an epoxy floor and they did a bad job, or you attempted a DIY epoxy install unsuccessfully
Is Toronto Epoxy Pros insured?
Yes, our epoxy repair contractors are certified under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), and under our $2 million liability insurance coverage.
How much downtime should I expect for an epoxy floor repair?
The repair will likely only take one day (depending on how extensive the damage is). You can then use the floor again after 24 hours, and place heavy machinery or appliances on it after 48 hours.
What’s the difference between crack filling, smoothing, and leveling?
The different types of repairs use different techniques and equipment to achieve the same final result:
- Crack Filling - We would fill the crack with epoxy, smooth it out, and let it cure like any epoxy surface. As long as the crack isn’t too large or there aren’t other issues, this can often be done simply by filling the crack itself without needing a more extensive repair.
- Smoothing - This often requires another pour of epoxy on the existing top layer, which is then smoothed out to create a new, smoother top layer of the floor.
- Leveling - This is usually a more involved repair, as when the floor is unlevel, it may require getting down to the base surface to fix the issue. We will smooth out and level the areas needed, and then pour new epoxy to create a fully level surface.
