Epoxy Flake Options
A flake finish offers more options for the design and overall ‘feel’ of your finished commercial space or industrial building epoxy floor. It typically comes with an added cost, but can be important to improving the ambiance of certain areas, especially customer-facing ones. We’ll help you work through all the options to decide if a flake finish is right for you.
Non-Epoxy Products Available by Request
We have other non-epoxy products also available that might be right for your specific project:
- Polyurethane - This is sometimes a cheaper option, but comes at the cost of a slow cure time, and sometimes contains VOCs. Typically this is used as a thin, additional top coat to another base coat to provide an even thicker, more durable finish.
- Polyaspartics - These have a quick curing time, and can penetrate deep within the concrete surface to provide a smooth and thicker overall finish. This material can often be expensive though. Polyaspartics are also UV-stable and scratch resistant, even when exposed to significant changes in temperature and humidity.
- Urethane - These coatings can come at a much lower cost, but are only suitable to really specific types of spaces, including those that are not exposed to a lot of elements, temperature changes, or foot traffic.
